Theo’s artistic practice explores cultural displacement from his Cypriot heritage through the reinvention of artefacts from ancient Cyprus. Theo’s research delves into ancient Cypriot cultural rituals, investigating the use and creation of artefacts found in Cyprus from around 2000 BC. The reinvention and celebration of these objects allow Theo to discover a part of his heritage from which he has been removed and bring these objects into the contemporary sphere.
This work aims to celebrate the traditions and spirit of Cypriot arts and culture.
