‘Cuppa’ takes the form of a cup-shaped piece of glass evoking shared conversation. The work investigates domesticity, intimacy, manners and display, exploring the possibilities of recycling and repurposing redundant objects.
Linda Norris is an artist from Wales. She worked as a painter for 30 years before coming to glass in 2012 drawn by the transformative and elemental nature of the medium. Linda has no formal education in glasswork, rather she has attended a number of masterclasses with established practitioners including Jeremy Lepisto, Kirstie Rea, Jane Bruce and Michael Rogers.
Linda has won several prizes for her work in glass including the Warm Glass Prize (2013), the Adrian Henri Poetry in Art Prize, and has twice been represented at the British Glass Biennale. She will be exhibiting at IFOG as part of Broken Home Collective in collaboration with five other women artists who work with glass.
