Bichromatic Bloom III
Bichromatic Bloom III
by Elliot Walker£9,500.00
Walker’s newest instalment of dichromatic flower vases further investigates the other great vain of still life painting. These sculptures hybridise the ostentatious bouquets of the European baroque style and the similarly outrageous designs and construction methods seen in Venetian chandeliers – the delicate millefleur of lilac and hydrangea repose within fern-like arms and gently curving leaves.
What you see before you represents my exploration of this versatile material in a new light, transforming sculptural forms into functional objects for everyday use.
