Turn Up the Heat 2024

We’re firing up the furnace this August for a celebration in partnership with The International Festival of Glass. From Friday, August 23rd, to Monday, August 26th, we are hosting an action-packed weekend celebration of glass.

Our Turn Up the Heat Programme has been crafted to the max, full of magic glassblowing demos, thought-provoking panel discussions, our brand-new Glass Pop-up shop and a participatory event for the whole family – and that’s not all! Scroll on to view the full programme.

New Functional Pop-Up

We are hard at work creating some beautiful Functional Glass for you to explore at our brand-new Functional Pop-up Shop, which will be open over the weekend in the Redhouse Cone engagement space. Discover a selection of breathtaking jewellery and exclusive glassware by Blowfish resident artists and special guests, including Olga Alianova and Katherine Huskie.

Fifteen x Fifteen Exhibition

This unique showcase features the captivating work of 47 artists representing 11 countries and 12 different glass techniques. Each artist presents a stunning artwork limited to a 15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm format. It features work by Sacha Delabre, Laura Kramer from the USA, and Balazs Telegdi from Hungary. Sacha and Balasz will also be demonstrating their craft as part of our glassblowing demonstrations!

Make Your Own Glass Experience


Have you ever dreamed of creating your own piece of glass art? Join us on Sunday 25th August, 10.30 am-3.15 pm, and learn to craft your own glass medallion with a special stamp to commemorate the IFOG festivities under the expert guidance of Bethany Wood and her team. Suitable for children over 13.

£40 per person.
