Elliot Walker, a renowned glass artist, initially pursued a degree in psychology at Bangor University. However, his career path took a significant turn when he discovered his passion for glassmaking. Introduced to the art by fellow artist Tim Boswell, Walker transitioned from working with stained glass to molten glass.

Employing almost every conceivable technique in creating his glass sculptures, Walker transforms classic objects in still-life paintings – goblet, bottle, apple, pear, fish, lobster – into ethereal, sculptural cameos that speak both to our bounty and its impermanence.

Walker’s remarkable technical skills utilise complex and subtle colouring, along with cold processes such as cutting and polishing, surface decoration, and texturing, to add depth and dazzling intricacies to his forms. Elliot is an exciting and talented artist bringing a conceptual edge to a traditional craft with all the hallmarks of a mould breaker.
