Spilt Milk, Blown Away Edition – Elliot Walker
Spilt Milk, Blown Away Edition – Elliot Walker
by Elliot WalkerLimited Edition 1 of 8 Spilt Milk stands at 26cm tall.
Task given by professional football player and glass enthusiast Steven Weatherly.
– To create a piece of Art which represents a personal hurdle to the artist.
Elliot’s truly British response to this task was in his words ‘fairly reserved’.
Elliot explains Spilt Milk represents ones attitude towards ones-self and how to move forward after a hurdle.
This approach is something Elliot studied during his phycology degree in the form of CAT (Cognitive Analytic Therapy).
CAT encourages the active separation of the self from emotions and turmoil in order to better understand and cope with them.
The traditional phrase is interpreted in this instance as – ‘Focus on what you can control’
I know a lot of people have been keen to get their hands on a carton, but we limited the edition to 8 which sold out VERY quickly, to our absolute delight.
So this is a superb opportunity to bid for the First Edition.
10% of the total sale of the carton will go to GAS (Glass Art Society) https://www.glassart.org/
As well as a percentage going to Marble Media, whom filmed the Netflix series ‘Blown Away’.
