Fragments of the Forgotten II explores elusive truths and deceptive appearances, challenging perception of reality. Romanescos forms evoke mirage-like illusion through fractal repetition, questioning what is real, constructed or concealed.

Over the past 35 years, I have developed expertise in glass processes, with a focus on kiln formed glass. My practice is grounded in this experience and further refined during my MA in Glass at the University of Sunderland, completed in 2017.
My work explores ideas of beauty through the lens of nature’s transformation, highlighting the balance between fragility and strength. I am particularly interested in themes of transience, vulnerability, and change, often drawing attention to the delicate yet resilient qualities found in natural forms. Environmental concerns also play an important role in shaping my approach, influencing both my choice of materials and methods.
Through ongoing experimentation, I have developed a technically accomplished body of work that reflects both skill and conceptual depth. My pieces have been exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, and are held in public and private collections, including major museums. I have also been selected multiple times for the British Glass Biennale and have received awards such as Best in Show and the Glass Prize at the V&A and British Craft in Japan, recognising the quality and impact of my work.
