This artwork portrays a singular entity enveloped in metallic hues. It symbolises the journey to find a balance of the expectation to achieve a golden status in each pieces.
Through her art, she seeks to explore the intricate layers of our emotions, the subtle balance between internal struggles and the outside world. Also looking at the delicate relationship between humanity and the environment.
Jiayun Ding is a passionate glass artist and member of CGS, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of traditional glassblowing. Holding a First-Class Honours degree in BA degree from the University of Sunderland, Jiayun’s journey in glass has been enriched by intensive courses at the Corning Museum of Glass, where they explored Venetian glassblowing techniques and medieval glass under expert guidance.
Jiayun’s artistic endeavours have been showcased at New Glass Review 44 publication and prestigious exhibitions such as the British Glass Biennale and the Stanislav Libensky Award Exhibition, where her work was acquired for the Permanent Collection of Prague Gallery of Czech Glass.
