You are my Summer with the Family by Arthur Van Buuren

Arthur – heArthur – van Buuren (1977, Dutch) experiments with graphic forms and colours and so he makes threedimensional glass objects and vases. He is inspired by themes as ‘connection’, ‘working from the heart’ and ‘Love’.
heArthur’s innovative 3D-glassfusion technique melts glass, which leads to a more durable connection than when using glue or other adhesives. Every object has through a unique syntheses of form and colour its own identity.
The results are almost like discovering a new language in glass.
Arthur – heArthur – van Buuren always had an interest in design and art. Over the years he has done creative (summer) courses at Central Saint Martins (London), Boisbuchet (France), recently at Bildwerk Frauenau (Germany) and courses in the Netherlands. About both material and creative processes.
Apart from these courses he is an autodidact.
He is an emerging glass artist. Since summer 2020 he has his own pop-up atelier in The Hague (NL) where he has time and space to experiment further with his glass fusion techniques with Bullseye glass.
