Meet Joao: From Novice to Glass Art Enthusiast
Joao, one of our enthusiastic students (and incredible photographer), started his glassblowing journey as a complete novice. He was drawn to the art’s mesmerizing fluidity and the endless possibilities it offered. Under the expert guidance of Bethany and Katherine, Joao’s passion blossomed. He shares, “Bethany and Katherine create a space where you can learn and be creative whilst feeling safe working within the workshop. They are friendly and approachable, embodying the collaborative aspect of the glassblowing process. Their years of experience as glassblowers and educators shine through, as they can easily jump in and out to support you when you make a mistake, or you need a hand with a specific technique.”

Tracey’s Journey: Mastering the Art of Glassblowing
Tracey, another one of our dedicated students, embarked on her glassblowing adventure via our Masterclasses. Her dream was to experience the intricacies of this craft, and that dream was made a reality, she reflects, “My Glass blowing experience was a dream come true, amazing. I know my dad was with me in the hot shop and would be proud that I’d finally had a chance to experience it first hand as he had many years ago.”
