Flux refers to a state of change, a flowing movement, inwards and outwards and a homogenous state of being.
In this new iteration of my Psychophysical series I have taken inspiration from the developmental stages and forms of the infant human.
The human foetus and its possibilities are the essence of possibility, with so called ‘buds’ undergo a magical transformation into recognisable components of the figure and the nucleus of the human brain begins to quicken into one of the most complex and little understood objects in the universe.
As in all my sculptural experiments, the transparency and depth of the material opens a window into my interpretation of this process.

Abstracted profiles creating a window into a supposed or imagined landscape, utilising the depth and transparency of Glass.
“I was interested in creating a less
literal representation of the internal
environment and to imply its
unavoidably abstract nature.”
As a student of psychology
Walker believes that our
understanding of the mind, and its
true effects on the body, are derived
from mostly theoretical constructs, leaving the objective truth open to interpretation

Elliot Walker
I am a sculptor working with molten glass as my primary medium. I studied glass making in the Historic Glass Quarter, Stourbridge, where I developed my basic skills that are the essential foundation for creating works in this challenging medium.
